Hey everyone! I doubt anyone recalls me at all (I deleted my former blog waaay bag in 2004), but this is A Day Without Me, jumping back on the anime blog express for some more weird and fun times in the land of anime/manga.
I have been watching anime for nearly a consecutive decade, and for twelve years if you count my early encounters with shows such as Sailor Moon (the infamous DiC version) and Samurai Pizza Cats. About six years ago, I tried to total everything I’ve seen at least parts of, reached 200, and gave up – I have since discovered the joys of digital fansubs, and I shudder to think of how much of my life I have whiled away.
Anyway, I originally gave up blogging because I simply did not have the time, but this time I come armed with an ally, my childhood friend who from here on in wishes to be known as ‘Depth Charge’. Together we’re looking to maybe cover two or three shows, but the bulk of this will address various topics as suits our moods (so, ranging from DVD and manga reviews to just random bits of rantage and announcements out of Japan). I’ll admit that what has prompted me is the appearance of the all-girls’ round robin thats being batted around at the moment – I signed up and realized I kind of miss blogging ^^;
Anyway, Depth has informed me that ‘introductions are stupid’, but relented and says: “I’ve watched anime for 8 years, read manga for 9, and I can’t stand those stupid dating sims you keep buying. Also, I had no say in the title because god hates me.”
Ah well – guess not everyone can have as refined a sense of taste as I do.
