Semi Regular Link List

The Toei tour continues, someone finally bothers to talk to the creator of the now-infamous fansub “documentary”, and the shocking discovery of a Japanese blog which covers the American industry is made, among other things.

After the first installment of the Toei tour over on Anime News Network, it seems that most were hoping they’d get to see the second part the next week. Or not. But, here it is, and it appears it will be on a bi-weekly basis, with more to come later in June.

In other news, The Anime Blog interviews the creator of the fansub “documentary” that’s caused so much debate within the blogosphere, and perhaps beyond. So, what does he have to say about it all?

Of concern to all is the little-noted proposals before the Canadian government and being batted around at the G8 summit regarding copyright laws. Don’t know what we’re talking about? Go educate yourself.

For those of you who are Japanese literate, Ultimo Spalpeen should be of interest to you. The blog covers the American anime and manga industry from a Japanese perspective, and makes Day wish she knew Japanese better and Depth curse the fact that Depth is studying Urdu.

And although it seems there’s only doom and gloom whichever way you turn in the American anime/manga industry, Navarre wants you to know that it’s not all bad.

Finally, we spotlight Wolf Hurricane, a blog which, although it does have a very slight odor of loser fanboy, is pretty good; also, it has a trap contest, which instantly gives it high marks in our books.

In GAR GAR Stegosaurus news, Depth is weeping over a dead laptop battery, while Day is slogging her way through The Melody of Oblivion. Both are planning to watch Haunted Junction later on.

Loser fanboy? Well I’ll take the compliment in stride.

Haha, we just said it was a slight odor – if it had been full-on, you wouldn’t be in the link list =)
