Titles that are not being axed:
- Fruits Basket
- Rave Master
- Saiyuki
- Tactics
Fruits Basket was a no-brainer, and Tactics isn’t too surprising since it was a license save from the defunct ADV Manga. Saiyuki also isn’t too surprising, although I wasn’t expecting Rave Master to continue as I didn’t think it was selling very well based on its absence from major retailers such as Borders.

ADV Manga is defunct? Then how the hell is Yotsuba&! still on shelves at Kinokuniya? And how will I get my hands on a Azumanga Daioh Manga Omnibus?

Depth: @ Jacob Martin – Yotsuba&! is still on the shelf because the copies that were printed before ADV Manga basically went defunct have yet to be completely sold out – you’ll notice that volume 6 was supposed to get released in Feb of this year, and it has been delayed indefinitely. And unless you manage to get an already printed copy of the Azumanga omnibus, then you will not be getting one.
ADV Manga claims it is not dead, but it hasn’t printed anything since November of 2007, and the release dates for future volumes of what it was releasing have all been pulled. The company hasn’t made a peep in over six months.
