Currently Watching

I’m not watching Bleach any more (occasionally I wish I still was), but I am watching these shows.

Vampire Knight Guilty

This is going to be almost pure trash, but I will watch it anyway. I’m pretty sure Yuuki’s eyes managed to grow from last season to this.

I picked the above picture because of the random dinosaur skeleton in the background. I’m guessing it is supposed to be part of a T-rex, but Matsuri Hino clearly doesn’t know her dinosaur skeletal structures, because there are issues with that foot if it is supposed to be a T-rex.

Nabari no Ou

Still slowly but surely getting through this one – subs in languages I can comprehend are seriously hard to come by, hence the snail pace I’m taking through it. I’m a bit afraid of how they will decide to end it… I stopped reading the manga because I knew what was going to happen, and it made me feel sad. I’m kind of a loser like that, especially when you consider how much I was enjoying it. Anyway, I will finish this series out and do posts on all the remaining episodes that I haven’t yet (21 through 26).

Shikabane Hime: Aka

Hmm, I seem to be the only person really, really excited about this one, and I suspect my reasons don’t altogether have anything to do with the show itself (I still have a surface analysis pending). I don’t know, this just looks really cool, and I loved the first episode…

Clannad~After Story~

Oh, look, just like everyone and their mom, I’m watching Clannad’s second season.

I’m pretty sure that that is going to be me up in that screenshot, crying my sorry-ass eyes out in the snow when this show rips my heart out. If you really think Nagisa is going to survive, you have somehow managed to not have watched her part of the OP at all. Damn you, KyoAni, what do you have against Nagisa?!

Idolm@ster Xenoglossia

Call me crazy, but I’m really enjoying Idolm@ster Xenoglossia. I didn’t watch this when it aired because I just didn’t see anything I could like about it, and the screencaps I saw had some obnoxious fanservice. But the main girl was really cute, which made me feel tempted, but not enough to tune in. Then for some reason I decided to start watching it about three weeks ago or so, and I got hooked.

I’m sort of looking at this like its a Gundam show… but with girl pilots. The ED really helped that impression, as it stylistically sounds just like an ED from one of the 90’s era Gundam shows.

* * *

I’ll probably be picking up some other shows from this season, but am waiting on watching the second episodes (Toradora!, Kuroshitsuji), or just flat-out still waiting for subs (Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae, Mouryou no Hako).

That’s just another dinosaur skeleton. What I’d like to know is how that chair is doing there.

    Idolm@ster Xenoglossia kicks ass.

What, NAGISA DIES? Okay, maybe it’s about time I join everyone and their mom after all XD

Shikabane Hime just rocks! The second episode was awesome and I love how nicely the OP is made. I don’t understand why this show hasn’t generated more expectation among anime fans, but well…

    Nagisa, what happened? NAGISA! NAGISSSSSAAAAAAAAAAA!

Shikabane Hime struck me as very plain. It’s not bad or anything, it just feels uninspired. I guess as far as shows with badass lead females go, I’ve been spoiled by Kara no Kyoukai.
